Tegen Kimbley is a visual artist working primarily in photography and moving image based in the Black Country. Since graduating from the University of South Wales in 2018, her work is deeply rooted in observation. She is interested in how people shape their surroundings and how those surroundings, in turn, shape them. A personal thread often runs through her projects, yet she leaves room for viewers to reflect on their own relationships with space, memory and change. She is particularly drawn to locations with layered histories, places undergoing transition, or sites that hold personal or collective memory.
